A few weekends ago was the women’s march — Oakland came out in full force with some excellent signage and a good spread of ages. I was in Berlin last year at this time, so I missed the Bay Area’s energy…but this year more than made up for it, with lots of positive vibes and forward momentum.

In other news, we had a super blood blue moon + lunar eclipse recently.

Super — bigger and brighter than usual due to unusually close proximity
Blue — second full moon of the month
Blood – red/copper color

Note the red/copper color dot which appears…actually not at all big or bright. Turns out my lack of nighttime photography gear does, in fact, hamper my ability to take proper nighttime photographs.

Although here is another moon pic from the next night. Caught the rising moon, which appeared much larger and more visible than the 5am lunar eclipse dot from photo #1.
