Last week’s election was rough. America feels like a place that I don’t recognize anymore, and I’m more grateful than ever for the opportunity to be living outside of the USA. I probably won’t be returning to the States for awhile.

I thought Americans loved Christmas. Turns out without the buffer of Thanksgiving to break up the holiday season, Germans go 100% into Christmas early and enthusiastically.
